Here at NKT tax we are located in the great city of Ipswich and as the Council has worked to support small businesses a range of grants have been released. Here are a couple headline looks at whats on offer and how to apply.
The Ipswich City Council Small Business Funding Program has been extended for another round (Round 2) to continue the financial support for Ipswich based small businesses through and post the COVID-19 pandemic. The program is a cash payment of up to $1,000 (exclusive of GST) per eligible applicant. The funding priorities are to help Ipswich small businesses get back to doing business, and stimulating the local economy. View Round 2 Fact Sheets and example support documents below.
The Façade Improvement Program is a pilot program designed to provide an incentive to support businesses in improving their facades and stimulate investment in the city. Council will match successful applicants with a dollar-for-dollar funding up to $15,000 (exclusive of GST). The program has a strong focus on engaging local suppliers and contractors to complete the works.
Through the Major and Minor Funding Program, council supports organisations to deliver one-off projects, events and activities for the benefit of the Ipswich local government area. The program provides financial assistance to a broad range of community organisations to assist them to deliver projects which respond to the strategies outlined in council’s strategic plan, Advance Ipswich.
